Brushfire Records is a Hawain based record label which was created in 2002 by Jack Johnson, Kim Johnson and Emmett Malloy. It was formerly known as The Moonshine Conspiracy which was also owned by Jack Johnson to release soundtracks for Woodshed Films. The Indie label was founded at The Mango Tree in Hawaii and strives to make music that is positive to bring together the surf community. It produces music for the rock and pop genres.
It is distributed by a a company called Universal Republic Records which was founded in 2006 by brothers Monte and Avery Lipman. Throughout the years the record label has become an industry leader with well known acts such as Drake, Lil' Wayne, Amy Winehouse and Florence + The Machine. The company is based in the United States which is an advantage for our artist as they can distribute our artist globally, making him more recognised by different audiences.
